Our invisible aligner therapy gradually shifts your teeth so that they’re straight and your smile looks great. The aligners prescribed by your custom treatment plan includes several sets of tight-fitting, custom-made, BPA-free clear plastic trays.
How do Clearfy invisible aligners work?
Book a scan in our Clearfy store and see your treatment plan in live time. Once your treatment plan is reviewed by an Clearfy-affiliated orthodontist, our invisible aligners will be mailed direct to you, or available for in-store pick-up. Each set of custom aligners will safely shift your teeth, a process that is mapped out in advance by an Clearfy-affiliated, duly licensed dentist or orthodontist who reviews your case. You’ll begin wearing a new set of aligners as prescribed, advancing you to the next stage until you achieve your new smile.
What are Clearfy invisible aligners made of?
Our aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable, highly transparent BPA-free plastic that won't irritate your cheeks and gums like traditional metal braces often do.
Are Clearfy invisible aligners cut to my gum contour or straight across?
Clearfy invisible aligners are cut straight across the top, which is the best way for the aligners to grip your teeth and create the gentle force needed to straighten them. This way the need for buttons or attachments is eliminated.
How do I know if Clearfy invisible aligners are right for me?
Every Clearfy order begins with a free 3D scan to determine if you are a smile candidate. The invisible aligner treatment is designed for minor to moderate alignment, including correcting spacing and crowding between teeth, rotation and minor bite correction.
How long do I need to wait after having my wisdom teeth removed before I can start with Clearfy?
It’s a good idea to wait six weeks after having your third molars (or wisdom teeth) extracted before starting with Clearfy. You might be able to start sooner if your dentist or surgeon feels it’s safe, but we would need a signed release form from his or her office.
What if I still have my wisdom teeth?
Follow your dentist’s recommendation as to when you need to have your wisdom teeth removed. If they recommend removal, take care of that first. Otherwise, you can book a scan and an Clearfy-affiliated orthodontist will review your smile for you. If your Clearfy-affiliated orthodontist determines that remote aligner treatment isn’t right for you, we will refund the cost of your impression kit.
Am I a candidate for Clearfy if I have an implant?
It’s possible our aligners may work for some customers who have an implant. The licensed dentist or orthodontist assigned to you will assess your smile and determine if Clearfy aligners are the best fit for you. If you’re not a candidate, you’ll get a refund for the Impression Kit.
Can I use Clearfy invisible aligners if I have missing teeth?
It’s possible our aligners can work for some customers who have missing teeth. The licensed dentist or orthodontist assigned to you will assess your smile and determine if Clearfy aligners are the best fit for you. If you’re not a candidate, you’ll get a refund for the Impression Kit.
What is Clearfy SmartSmile?
Our Clearfy SmartSmile technology, and top orthodontists, design effective treatment plans, giving you better results in the shortest possible time. During your visit, one of our staff will take a 3D scan of your current smile, which will be sent over to a state-licensed dentist or orthodontist in our network to review your custom treatment plan. An appointment takes about 30 minutes.

How do I schedule a scanning appointment?
Simply book a scan on our locations page. You’ll be given a few dates and times to choose from and our team will follow-up to confirm your scheduled appointment. That said, we take appointments on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you don’t have an appointment, we might not be able to see you right away.
What happens if I am late for my appointment?

There will not be a fee to cancel or reschedule your appointment, and there is never a commitment to purchase aligners during your visit.
How long does the appointment take?
Typically expect your scan to take 20-30 minutes. If you sign your consent form before arriving at your visit it could help save time.
How does the scanning technology work?
Our Clearfy stores use a highly accurate 3D optical camera to capture a digital map of your smile, including your teeth and gum lines. With this 3D image, we can use it to determine if our aligners are a fit for your smile. Also, the Clearfy-affiliated doctor overseeing your case will be able to create and review your personalized treatment plan.
What are the qualifications of the Clearfy team?
Our team members come from a variety of backgrounds, many are registered dental assistants, dental hygienists, or home health aides. All our Clearfy team members are trained to efficiently and accurately capture a 3D image of your smile. We actively monitor and evaluate the quality of their work, including your experience. Our team members can answer any questions you have about our service, our process, our technology, and most questions about straightening your smile using invisible aligners.
What if I’m not in a scanning market or can’t or don’t want to go to an Clearfy store?

Does a licensed dentist or orthodontist review my case?
Yes, your custom treatment plan is always reviewed, modified (if necessary), and approved by a duly licensed dentist or orthodontist. This ensures your new smile is enhanced and upholds the highest quality and standards within the industry.
How long after my scan will I receive my aligner treatment plan?
As soon as we receive your impressions or 3D scan, we create a custom treatment plan which shows a before and after 3D visualization of how your teeth shift during the treatment. Our Clearfy-affiliated orthodontist will review your treatment plan and once you approve your treatment plan, your aligners will be custom-fabricated and shipped to you within three weeks.
How long is the typical treatment process?
Typically, expect a treatment plan of 6 months’ time. However, your custom treatment plan is determined by your assigned licensed dentist or orthodontist who will determine the best plan for your needs.
Can I use Clearfy invisible aligners on only my upper or lower teeth?
The state-licensed dentist or orthodontist assigned to your case will decide what the safest and best treatment option is for you. Typically, since moving your teeth changes your bite, we need to take both sets of teeth into account. However, your treatment plan will be specific to you and cases vary between each person.
Why don’t my aligners cover my molars?
Your aligners are custom fabricated to fit your mouth. Our goal is to make your aligners as unobtrusive as possible, so it might not be necessary to move your back teeth to get the results you want.
How often should I wear my aligners?
Wear your aligners as much as possible, only take them out for eating and drinking. We recommend wear 22 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Will my teeth hurt during treatment?
You can expect a little bit of discomfort as you adjust to wearing your aligners. Particularly, you may expect to experience some tooth soreness for a few days after wearing new aligners. Don’t worry, as this is perfectly normal. Soreness is a sign that your aligners are working, gently shifting your teeth to their desired position. This soreness should gradually fade with time and consistent wear of new aligners.
Are there any visits to a dental office during treatment?
Aside from regularly scheduled dental cleanings, you should not expect extra dental office visits.
What happens if I lose an aligner?
Should you lose an aligner nearing the end of your scheduled stage of your treatment plan, it is alright for you to use the next stage’s aligner for the duration of the current stage plus the time scheduled for next stage. Otherwise, you can order a replacement right away if you lose one of your aligners early into your scheduled stage. You will need to order a replacement right away. The cost for replacements is only $50 per tray. Your replacement aligner will generally ship within one week of placing the order. During that time, you will need to wear the previous aligner to ensure that your teeth do not shift back to their original position. What happens after my invisible aligner treatment is complete?
Protect your investment and wear your retainers! Without retainers, teeth tend to shift back to their original positions. Our custom-fit retainers costs $99 per set and are available to purchase toward the end of your treatment. For the first two weeks, you’ll need to wear them all the time (except when you eat and drink). After that, you can wear them only while you sleep at night. How do I preserve my new smile after treatment?
You'll need to wear a retainer regularly to maintain your new smile. For the first two weeks, you’ll need to wear them all the time (except when you eat and drink). After that, you can wear them only while you sleep at night. We recommend replacing your retainers every six months to keep them fresh.

Does my purchase include free teeth whitening?
No, customers only receive aligners with the cost of their treatment plan.
How can I keep track of when to change my aligners?
You can set reminders on your calendar as to when you need to change your aligners (every 15 days). Also, we will ship your trays in stages after each payment. This will also help you keep track of when you need to change your aligners out.
Does Clearfy have a warranty?
If at the end of your treatment plan, having followed your prescribed plan, you haven’t achieved the smile you love, contact us so your dentist or orthodontist can re-evaluate your results. You may be eligible for additional aligners, following approval of your re-evaluation, to perfect your smile to the best possible outcome. Please note: The warranty is only valid if you notify us within 30 days of completing your treatment plan.
